Hand carved wooden bangle made from naturally orange African Padouk, by Australian artist Paul McEwan.
The shape was inspired by Antoni Gaudi's use of catenary arches, a very strong structural shape.

time. Padouk is used extensively for carving and is also an important cultural and medicinal species associated
with childbirth and marriages, used mainly by women.
